One day, if you wake up in the meadows of Kashmir on your trek to Tarsar Marsar, in that moment, your entire life is going to dissolve into a distant dream. Day 01:- Arrival Srinagar – Mughal Gardens Tour
On arrival at Srinagar; you will meet our representative at the airport and transfer to Deluxe Houseboat. Afternoon Visit famous Mughal Gardens (Nishat, Shalimar CheshmaShahi) & Shankaracharaya Temple) & Old and New Srinagar city, overnight stay at Houseboat.

Day 02:  Srinagar- Pahalgam – 96 Km  and Trek Start to Aru – Lidder Watt Base Camp (Altitude 3049 Mtrs. 11 Kms Trek)
Early morning  leave from  Srinagar toward to aru pahalgam  city  and start the  trek 11 km through the lush Lidder Valley to Lidder Watt where your reward is overnight at the beautiful Lidder Watt base camp which is situated by a stream that runs straight from the Kolahoi glacier into the Tarsar Lake which is an (Altitude 3960 Mtrs.) on arrival at Lidder Watt fix the camps at Base Camp Lidder Watt Here you will eat a delicious dinner around the bonfire and overnight Stay at Camp

Day 03: Lidderwath to Shekwas (Altitude 3365 Mtrs. 6 Kms Trek)
After spending the night take a health breakfast star we will cover a distance of approximately 6 – 7km on 3rd day the trek will start from lidderwath campsite following the trial of the Lidder river to reach to pine forest we will sit inside the Gujjar Huts to enjoy a cup of tea with some snakes before we get back on our journey. As we proceed our trek the ascent will become steep  due to the increase in altitude the camp will be set up shekwas meadowland for the night

Day 04: Shekwas to Tarsar Lake (Altitude 3795 Mtrs. 5-6 Kms Trek)
After a healthy breakfast as the morning sunrise will start on a trek towards Tarsar Lake today we will head towards the Tarsar Lake which is the main attraction of this Trek the Trek start from shekwas meadows for will ascend 5km towards the sumbal in this route you will experience a lush green land. After the journey few hours, you will be surprised to witness the enigmatic view of the almond shape lake explore Tarsar lake after experience an adventurous journey of crossing stream through Rock and boulders Tarsar Grassland where you will set the camp for the night

Day 05: Tarsar to Sundersar (Altitude 4000 – 4200 Mtrs. 5-6 Kms Trek)
After a healthy breakfast, the trek as we will cross the Tarsar pass which has an elevation (13200ft) the distance from Tarsar Lake to Sundersar is 5km approximately which will be covered in the 4 -5 hours after crossing the ridge and meadow you will see the beautiful view of Sundersar Lake surrounded by luscious green landscape Sundersar lake is a perfect location to set the camp

Day 06: Sundersar – Marsar Lake – Homwas (Altitude 4200 à3020 Mtrs. 9-10 Kms Trek)
After a healthy breakfast to reach Marsar Lake there are two passes to climb from Sundersar the boulder laden trial pass is an easy patch to reach Marsar on time the trek from Sundersar to Marsar is a half an hour journey  will you will also witness the beautiful green patch of the grassland after reaching the top of the ridge you will see the beautiful view of the Marsar Lake the Marsar lake below the appear jus lake the Tarsar the Marsar Lake head back down to Sundersar lake fallowing the same routes which will take approx 40minutes later you will head towards Homwas which is the last destination of the trek .the journey will start from Sundersar from where you will walk towards shekwas to reach Homwas is an hour as the day you will set your  camp  at Homwas to spending the last night grazing and the dark sky

Day 07: Homwas – Aru – Pahalgam – Srinagar
Today we start Trek early morning because we reach back to Srinagar, you will get change explore the same routes downhill which you had taken earlier via lidderwath the descending walk from homwas to lidderwath is a two hours journey which will give you the view of the shrinking Kolahoi Glacier which you may missed while trekking to Tarsar & Marsar Lakes which descending you will also witness the pine forest of lidderwath after you reach lidderwath half of while take rest and eat some lite snacks, also en-route we’ll take lunch break after you will cover a distance of 12km Aru valley will be taken another 4 hours as you reach the Aru valley. Return back to Srinagar by car which is waiting for you and will be take to the Houseboat/Hotel Check Inn after rest and relax Dinner and overnight stay

Day 08: Departure Transfer to Srinagar Airport.
Early morning after breakfast, we will drive to the airport for your flight home. On your way to the airport you can make a brief stopover for some last minute shopping in the city centre. At the airport the driver will assist you with the luggage and will later drop you at the terminal.​

Our Trek Manager: You are requested to co-operate with our RIE/THT tour manager in all respect to make your tour really enjoyable. Allotment of Rooms/Tents, selection of daily food menu is the duty of the tour manager and passengers should not interfere in these matters. Passengers indulging in unwanted hindrance, in the smooth operation of the tour or quarreling with the manager shall be asked to leave the tour at that spot and shall not be given any refund for the same.

Things not included in the tour cost: Personal expenses like service tax, tips, cold drinks, horse riding, boating, laundry, gondola cable car rides, room heaters, taxi fare, mineral water, insurance, additional expenses after accidents. We take it for granted that the passenger who joins the tour have read these terms and conditions and agree to the same.

The date of the cancellation is the date on which KashmirTrekking.Co.In Online Division of Royal India Expedition receives notification by email or in writing. Days before departure charge applicable as follows, per person:

Up to 24 Days: – 90% of Trek/Tour cost will be refunded.
Between 14-24 Day: – 60% of Trek/Tour cost will be refunded.
Between 14-08 Days: – 40% of Trek/Tour cost will be refunded.
Less than 7 Days: – No refund

Normally our trek are designed in such a way that we reach our camp by lunch time and on an average trekking distance is roughly 7-8 Kms each day and it takes around 6 hours by an average trekker to cover that distance.

Is Dianox advisable?
Dianox help in acclimatization but we do not advise it please consult your Doctor before taking it.

What will happen if a trek is extended because of landslides or any other reasons?
If we have to extend the trek because of the reasons which are beyond our control then additional charge may apply.

Who will lead and who all will go along with us?
All our treks are led by certified & Experienced Trek Leaders/Guides. We believe in sustainable adventure eco-tourism which in effect means that our teams are locally sourced. Other than a Trek lead we in our team we will have local Guides, Cook, Helpers and Porters.

How big are the groups?
We make it a point not to have more than 16-20 people in a trekking group as we believe that the best way to enjoy adventure is in small sustainable groups.

What is the minimum number of Trekkers required for Fixed Departures?
Our Fixed departures are guaranteed and a promise to our customer that even if there is a less trekker we will precede with the trek at a loss.

I am the only girl in a trek, is it safe?
We generally have a ratio of Male: Female of about 2:1. Mountains on the whole are much safer than the plains. Lots of solo female trekkers join us and we make it a point that only female trekkers share the tent with other female trekkers.

What thing we need to carry for the trek?

Can I offload my backpack on a mule/porter? What are the charges for the same?
When you are in the mountains you should be self-sufficient and you should carry your own backpack. The charges to offload a backpack of roughly 9 kg or less are about 250 per day.

Which type of shoes should I buy?

How many trekkers will be in one tent?
We generally have 3-man tents were we accommodate anywhere between 2-3 people.

What level of fitness is expected from the trekker’s
Good physical fitness as well as mental fitness is required for the Kashmir Great Lakes Trek. This is an ideal trek for a beginner who wants to familiarize him/herself with high altitude treks. What is there in Food menu during a trek ?
We server whole some and nutritious Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Evening Snacks, The food is vegetarian and Non Vegetarian food is preferable at high altitudes as it is easy to digest.

Is the water on the trek safe?
The advantage of trekking the Himalayas is that your trekking route is filled with fresh Himalayan streams. Your trek leader/guide will direct you to places where you can fill clean water from. We recommend this water but in case you are unsure you can carry water purifying tablets with you.

What types of vehicles are used for transportation?
We use Sumo/Xylo/Tempo for transportation.

What do you do if we encounter a medical emergency during the trek?
Our team at RIE/THT is trained in handling high altitude emergencies. Apart from being trained mountaineers they bring a wealth of experience with dealing with high altitude illnesses. We carry First aid kits and oxygen cylinders with us and in case of other medical emergencies we rescue the trekker till the road head. If any additional cost of evacuation is incurred it is borne by the trekker. Also before the trek it’s your responsibility to get a medical fitness checkup by a doctor which certifies you are fit enough for this trek.

Can we change the itinerary?
KashmirTrekkings.Com Online Unit of Royal India Expedition reserves the right to change the itinerary depending upon the weather conditions and other factors. If extra cost is incurred due to rescheduling the trekker is informed beforehand and extra cost if any is borne by the trekker. Please note that we operate treks in some of the most remote regions and harshest conditions where unforeseen events may force us to change the itinerary. In such cases, we or your trek leader will suggest the best alternative similar to your original itinerary.

Can you customize a Kashmir Great Lakes Trek?
Yes Kashmir Great Lakes Trek can be customized, if you would like to travel independently, you are invited to choose any of the trips at your convenient time for any number of people. The Cost for private customized trip is fixed on the basis of group size, trek area, duration and trek style.

What if trek is cancelled at the last moment due to ‘force majeure’?
All the arrangements for the tour are pre-planned and prepaid.
We will offer you alternate trek options of similar value depending upon the weather conditions if a trek is cancelled due to ‘force majeure’. In case of non-completion of the tour due to any reason whatsoever there will not be any refund for any unutilized services.
